After a brief hiatus, I'm ready to try again.

I believe that the government must be the final safety net for its citizens. The Republicans believe that government`s role is to further enrich the rich, hoping (or not) that the rich will take care of the poor. Obviously, they don`t grasp the real definition of the word "conservative".

I live in a Democracy and am a firm believer in freedom and my rights to whatever party, religion, etc. that I choose to be a part of. I am very liberal, believing that gay marriage/civil unions are a must if our society is to ever be equal. We women are still behind and treated differently on many levels, and as a Democrat, I don't pretend to support institutions that hold us back. Environment... Woohoo!...
