I am pretty much your bleeding heart liberal. Society and the government have an obligation to help the downtrodden, protect civil liberties & rights (of which gun ownership is not one), I favor an contextualist interpretation of the Constitution and am also in favor of the welfare state. I believe the government should regulate business more. I believe the government should promote life by not allowing the death penalty and by creating alternative programs to abortion (such as more aid for single/young mothers), rather than banning it. I have been called a tree hugger, an idealist, a radical, and a bleeding heart, all of which I take as compliments.
