Stepping out in the world once again…I am bookish, well educated, independent, and still fascinated by what it’s all about. Trying to maintain an open mind & heart, to be part of an ethical, sustainable society. Former editor/book designer, now prefer to work with plants. I love the outdoors, books, my family, old friends, cats & dogs, opera, theatre, foreign films, good conversation, laughing. Politically progressive, socially somewhat old fashioned. Shy but hoping that passion may still be out there. Would like to meet a new old friend, companionable, a good sense of humor, mellow, financially secure, spiritual but not hooked on organized doctrine, fit but not obsessed with the physical, intelligent with heart. Having been married is a good thing, ditto having children. Did I mention a good sense of humor? I treasure my rural California & New Mexico roots. I love learning about other people and the world, listening to stories. Also the study of human history, Europe and England, Alaska, languages, literature, travel, the natural world.
