I believe that people should help take care of each other and society -- none of that "pull yourself up by your bootstraps, every man for himself" stuff! I'm in favor of socialized medical care, programs to take care of the homeless, mentally ill, and disabled, taxing people according to their earnings. I'm also pro-choice, pro-gay rights, and pretty much a pacifist. I hate nationalism encouraging people to see their own nation as "superior" to others. I consider myself to be a member of the human race, though based on human behavior, I'm sometimes ashamed to admit it!!
